We have an opportunity for a test engineer for a medical device company in the twin cities area. This is a great opportunity if you are working towards your degree and have availability to work parttime or full time Mon-Fri

Candidate Pay: $22/hr

Hours: 40 hours onsite per week

Description:

• Review and investigate customer complaints and post-market reports, analyzing software, connectivity, and device-related issues while escalating potential product quality concerns to support root cause investigations.
• Document and track software defects with detailed evidence, reproduction steps, logs, and expected versus actual results to support issue resolution and regression testing.
• Perform boundary and edge case testing on key settings such as amplitude limits, pulse width, and rate to validate expected system behavior and safety controls.
• Create structured test documentation, including issue reports, reproduction steps, and integration findings, to support faster investigation and resolution by engineering teams.
• Contribute to product quality in a regulated medical device environment by validating expected versus actual results using requirement specifications aligned with ISO 13485 practices.
• Ensure product safety and reliability by performing end-user validation and functional testing on medical device software.
• Identify and resolve software and hardware integration issues through debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional teams to diagnose defects and improve system performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
