Solar Sales Consultant
We are seeking a motivated and mission-driven Solar Sales Consultant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, believes in renewable energy, and wants to make a real impact in the community while earning a strong income. As a Solar Sales Consultant, you will educate homeowners and businesses on the benefits of solar energy and energy efficiency, guide them through the decision-making process, and help them transition to clean energy solutions.
Compensation: Base salary + uncapped commission + bonuses, realistically totalling $130k+ in the first year

Responsibilities:
- Meet with prospective clients (in-home and/or virtual) to present solar solutions
- Educate customers on energy and bill savings, financing, and technical specifications
- Self-generate leads as well as serve company-provided leads
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Collaborate with internal teams for smooth project handoff
- Track sales activities and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License with a good driving record and reliable transportation
- 2 – 4 years of solar sales experience is preferred – other sales experience is welcome
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Positive attitude, highly motivated, and goal driven with a proven track record
- Team player who listens, learns, and actively communicates
- Self-starter, motivated to obtain new leads
The Location:
Sustainergy is based in Cincinnati, OH, one of the greenest and most affordable cities in the country. Driving routes typically up to 50 mile radius (further appointments mostly held virtually)
