# Solar Surveyor I

## Summary Mortenson is currently seeking a Surveyor I that will be responsible for performing survey and mapping of construction measurements and advise team members during all stages of the construction project through direct surveys and layout support.

## Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Trimble GPS equipment, including base station, SCS 900 software, GCS 900, and laser level.
• Care for, clean, and use surveying tools and equipment.
• Perform basic surveying computations and plan reading.
• Perform survey note taking.
• Survey existing conditions of proposed work sites.
• Guide new construction work through layout.
• Verify locations of structures.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

## Qualifications

• Minimum one year of related construction experience.
• CTS level 1 or equivalent preferred.
• Current drivers license.
• Ability to operate equipment including but not limited to Base Station, SCS 900, GCS 900, and laser level.
• Detail orientation.
• Ability to work independently.
• Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
