    Description

    Primary Duties
    • Ensure that all plant electrical equipment is maintained at optimal levels and efficiencies.
    • Report normal, abnormal, or emergency plant conditions to the Site Manager. Take all necessary corrective action in accordance with established policy or at the direction of the Site Manager.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with all environmental requirements, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with all Haz. Mat. requirements, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
    • Prepare required reports as directed by the Site Manager.
    • Oversee the daily upkeep of necessary plant logs and records to meet all regulatory standards.
    • Monitor and maintain the Plant Operations Manual and assure that operating policies and procedures are kept up to date. 


    Job Qualifications:
    • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of solar industry best practices, NEC requirements, NFPA70E, and diagnosis/repair of common solar failures.
    • Demonstrate experience performing complex but repetitive testing, creating a safe work environment, performing troubleshooting, and managing a team of peers or contractors.
    • 5+ years electrical experience desired as well as licensing to work as an electrician.
    • Working familiarity with system switching.
    • Certification to operate a scissor lift and forklift or the ability to become certified.
    • Must have and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license and clean driving record; ideally, DOT driving license or the ability to obtain.
    • NABCEP certification or other component-specific solar certifications are helpful.
