Solder Machine Operator
Hours: 1st shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 3:15pm, Fr 6:00am - 12:00 pm
Starting Pay: $17.50/hour and up (based on experience)
Bonuses: $500 hiring/retention bonus + $100 monthly perfect attendance award
Position Summary
Operate and maintain electromechanical soldering equipment used in the assembly of electronic circuit boards in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Responsible for setup, monitoring, programming, and quality assurance to meet production and IPC-A-610 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor electromechanical soldering machines for circuit board assembly.
Set up and verify multiple production jobs using computer-generated setup sheets.
Program machines as required to meet IPC-A-610 soldering acceptability standards.
Communicate technical issues, malfunctions, and error data to solder lead and machine support staff.
Perform light maintenance and cleaning of production equipment.
Monitor assembly processes and collaborate with support staff to achieve target defect goals.
Ensure adherence to all quality and safety procedures.
Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years operating electromechanical or CNC-type equipment.
Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with electronic pick-and-place, wave soldering, and water wash systems.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for prolonged periods in a manufacturing setting.
