AOI Inspector
Hours: Monday -Thursday 5:45am-4:30pm (Off every Friday!) 
Starting Pay: $17.50/hour and up (based on experience)
Bonuses: $500 hiring/retention bonus + $100 monthly perfect attendance award


Position Summary

Operate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment used in electronic circuit board assembly and inspect electronic materials and assemblies to ensure compliance with established specifications and IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards. The AOI Inspector will apply judgment, accuracy, and attention to detail while performing inspection and quality verification tasks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform startup and shutdown procedures for AOI inspection equipment.

  • Operate AOI systems to inspect electronic assemblies for defects and conformance to quality standards.

  • Learn and apply IPC-A-610 Class 2 inspection standards.

  • Read and interpret values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole and SMT components (capacitors, resistors, transistors, ICs, etc.).

  • Develop and maintain AOI programming skills and utilize computer systems efficiently.

  • Use inspection and gauging tools to verify product quality per customer and IPC requirements.

  • Review assembly drawings and bills of materials to confirm component identification, polarity, and placement.

  • Identify and communicate quality issues or process deviations to the team leader


Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience: Previous manufacturing experience required, preferably in electronic assembly or inspection.

  • Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with AOI inspection equipment, gauging, and measurement tools.
