Are you looking for a hands-on manufacturing opportunity where precision and craftsmanship matter? TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a skilled Soldering Technician to support rework, touch-up, and repair of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing precision soldering, component replacement, and ensuring all repairs meet strict quality and IPC standards.

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 2:30PM - 11PM
Pay: $20.00 – $23.00/hour (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform hand soldering for touch-up, rework, and repair of PCBAs
Remove and replace surface mount (SMT) and through-hole components
Repair solder defects including bridging, cold joints, insufficient solder, and lifted pads
Follow work instructions, schematics, and engineering change orders (ECOs) for repairs
Utilize soldering irons, hot air rework stations, microscopes, and other precision tools
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with IPC standards and customer requirements
Document repairs and maintain accurate records of rework performed
Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to identify recurring defects and support root cause analysis
Maintain ESD compliance and proper handling of sensitive electronic components
Support continuous improvement and maintain a clean, organized workstation (5S)
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in PCB soldering, rework, or electronics repair
Strong experience with SMT and through-hole soldering techniques
Ability to work under a microscope for detailed repair work
Ability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs, and work instructions
High attention to detail and steady hand for precision work
Understanding of common soldering defects and proper repair methods
Preferred Experience:
IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-7711/7721 certification
Experience with BGA rework or advanced component replacement
Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments
Familiarity with AOI inspection results and rework processes
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods performing detailed work
Strong visual acuity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
