Position Title: Soldering Technician (Through-Hole)Classification: Non-ExemptPosition SummaryThe Soldering Technician is responsible for assembling and soldering electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount (SMT) and through-hole techniques. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and strict adherence to quality and safety standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform hand soldering of electronic components using SMT and through-hole methodsRead and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructionsInspect solder joints to ensure quality and compliance with established standardsRepair and rework defective assemblies as requiredOperate soldering equipment, including soldering irons, hot air tools, and desoldering equipmentMaintain a clean, organized workstation in accordance with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocolsIdentify and report defects, inconsistencies, or process issuesFollow all safety procedures and company guidelinesMeet production schedules and quality requirementsMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic soldering experience (SMT and/or through-hole preferred)Ability to use hand tools and small electronic assembly equipmentStrong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityAbility to read and understand basic technical drawings and instructionsHigh attention to detailPreferred QualificationsIPC soldering certification (e.g., IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001)Prior experience in electronics manufacturing or assemblyFamiliarity with ESD safety practices TMP123K
