As a Manufacturing Soldering Technician, you will be responsible for performing soldering and assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment. Your expertise in soldering techniques and attention to detail will contribute to the production of high-quality electronic components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform soldering and assembly tasks according to established work instructions and quality standards.
  • Read an interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate component placement and soldering.
  • Utilize various soldering techniques (e.g., through-hole, surface mount) and equipment to assemble electrical components.
  • Inspect soldered connections for quality and make any necessary rework or repairs.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet production schedules and targets.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the Production Manager.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and suggest ways to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing soldering or related field.
  • Proficiency in soldering techniques for through-hole and surface mount components.
  • Familiarity with assembly drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Ability to use soldering irons, reflow ovens, and other soldering connections.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot soldering issues.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet production deadlines.
