  • Support installation of optical components, mounts, brackets, and related hardware under supervision
  • Clean, inspect, and prepare optical and mechanical components for integration
  • Assist senior technicians and engineers during system builds and integration activities
  • Support basic optical alignment activities as directed
  • Perform routine measurements, visual inspections, and documentation of completed work
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, tooling organization, and inventory of assembly materials
  • Follow established procedures for handling optics, precision components, and laser hardware
  • Support prototype builds where procedures or hardware configurations may evolve
  • Accurately record build notes, part usage, and assembly status

  • Reliable work habits and ability to work collaboratively with technical staff

Education

  • Associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Military technical experience or trade school backgrounds are welcome

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with precision mechanical assembly or clean handling practices
  • Exposure to laboratory, optics, electronics, or photonics environments
  • Familiarity with hand tools, microscopes, torque tools, or measurement equipment
  • Experience documenting assembly work or following work instructions
  • Ability to support repetitive build and preparation tasks with consistent workmanship
