The successful candidate will join our Solid Waste team to support projects in Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, California, and Nebraska assisting clients across many industries with effective, responsive, and safe solutions. If you thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, this opportunity is ideal for you.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage civil and environmental engineering projects related to solid waste facilities, landfills and transfer stations, environmental permitting, and regulatory compliance.Lead planning and design efforts for solid waste infrastructure, containment systems, and leachate and landfill gas management.Oversee contaminated site remediation projects including nature and extent studies, evaluation of corrective measures, implementation of remediation strategies, environmental due diligence assessments, and analysis and remediation of emerging contaminants.Manage and evaluate data, perform analyses, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal standards for regulatory compliance.Manage scope, schedule, budget, and reporting for assigned projects.Manage project staff and subcontractors, assigning resources as necessary to complete project tasks on schedule and within budget.Develop work plans and health & safety plans, ensuring field staff have been appropriately briefed on relevant plan details.Coordinate with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients to execute environmental investigation and remediation projects.Prepare investigation summary, remedy implementation, performance monitoring, and site closure reports for submittal to clients and agencies.Develop new business throughout the United States.QualificationsMinimum 15 years of relevant experience.A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license and the ability to obtain licensure in additional states if necessary.Direct industry employment history managing projects, budgets, and preparing cost estimates in the solid waste and remediation fields.Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to producing high‑quality deliverables.Exceptional written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with clients and project team members.Initiative and motivation to complete project deliverables on schedule and within budget.The ability to travel to client sites and other Trihydro offices.Working knowledge of health & safety practices and a commitment to safe operations.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent project scheduling tools is helpful).Experience with AutoCAD software, Civil3D, Leapfrog, or other 3D modeling software is a plus.The ability to grasp scientific concepts and apply them to technical challenges.Desire and initiative to develop business throughout the United States.What We OfferIndustry‑leading 401(k) retirement plan, including a 6% discretionary match.Paid time off including vacation, flex, sick, paid family medical leave, and holiday pay.Comprehensive health insurance program (medical, dental, vision, and prescription).Opportunities for professional development and career growth.A collaborative and inclusive work environment.Mentoring and opportunities for professional advancement.Best‑in‑class safety culture.Summary pay range: $90,000 - $160,000This position will remain open until a qualified candidate has been selected.Trihydro is an Equal Opportunity, affirmatively action employer.
