Become part of a dedicated team that provides environmentally responsible waste disposal and recycling services while protecting the health, safety, and quality of life for our community with the Solid Waste Management Department.
Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of semi-skilled and general maintenance duties to support the safe, efficient operation of departmental buildings, grounds, and equipment. The employee also operates and maintains light- to medium-duty machinery and equipment in accordance with established safety procedures. This opportunity is ideal for a dependable, safety-conscious professional who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining functional facilities, and values contributing to essential public services.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED, supplemented by six (6) months of experience and/or training involving grounds or building maintenance/trades work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Driving is an essential function of this position. To be considered, you must have a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record. If your drivers license is from another state, you will be required to obtain and show proof of a valid NC drivers license within 60 days of hire.
