Department: Solid Waste Department Organizational Unit: Disposal

Position Type: Permanent Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

Open Until Filled.

$19.64 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. North Area/Titusville Transfer Station. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs experienced service work within the Solid Waste Processing System operating the master electrical control panel of the push pit rams and compactor, loading the tractor trailers, and monitoring the operation.

REQUIREMENTS: Six (6) months of experience in solid waste operations. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver''s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
