Overview SolidWorks Mechanical Drafter / CAD DesignerLocation: Rockford, IL • Job type: Permanent / Full-TimeOur client in Rockford, IL is hiring a Mechanical Drafter / Designer to create and revise mechanical drawings, assemblies, and bills of material to support engineering and manufacturing.Base pay range: $52,000.00/yr - $72,800.00/yrResponsibilities Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create 3D models, assembly drawings, and detail drawingsPrepare and maintain accurate BOMsApply proper drafting standards and practicesParticipate in design reviews with engineers, customers, and sales staffAssist engineers with drawings and documentation for quotations/proposalsIdentify and report conflicts/discrepancies in specificationsVerify drawings comply with standards and drafting practicesSupport manufacturing by reviewing drawings/BOMs pre-buildUpdate drawings and documentation to reflect changesQualifications Associate's degree in Drafting/Design Technology or related field requiredSoftware experience with SolidWorks and AutoCADMicrosoft Office; Adobe Reader and AcrobatAbility to follow instructions and support engineers/manufacturing teamsStrong knowledge of drafting principles, geometric tolerances, and dimensioning standardsFamiliarity with machining/fabrication methodsBasic understanding of mechanical components (bearings, bushings, fasteners, belts, gearboxes, etc.)Ability to interpret/apply ISO and ANSI standardsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbout the employer ESPO CorporationLeaders in Technical Recruiting & Staffing since 1965ESPO has a comprehensive benefits package which includes PTO, group health and dental insurance, and 401k after satisfying necessary waiting periods.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value the benefits of diversity in our workforce.
