Description We're growing our Enterprise Architecture team and are excited to be hiring either a Solutions Analyst or Senior Solutions Analyst to join us at Gillette Children's! In this role, you'll partner with operational and clinical stakeholders across the organization to investigate challenges, clarify business objectives, and design technology solutions that improve workflows and support exceptional patient care. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective, scalable solutions that make a meaningful impact. This is a hybrid opportunity, with an expectation of working onsite in St. Paul a minimum of four days per month, along with additional onsite flexibility as needed to support the role, collaboration, and key initiatives. Compensation & Benefits Solutions Analyst: The annual salary range for this opportunity is $87,984 to $131,976, with a median salary of $109,980. Sr. Solutions Analyst: The annual salary range for this opportunity is $92,47 to $138,736, with a median salary of $115,616. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience and internal equity. Salary is just one component of the compensation package for employees. Purpose of Position: The Solution Analyst partners with operational and clinical stakeholders at Gillette Children's to investigate problems, clarify intended outcomes, and design solutions that meet business needs. The role explores options with stakeholders to select the approach that best fits the underlying problem, and has the ability to build working prototypes, automations, and AI agents using low-code and AI tools. The Senior Solution Analyst takes on larger and more strategic engagements, exercises greater autonomy on solution architecture decisions, leads buy-vs-build investigations and vendor evaluations, and provides mentorship and guidance to citizen developers and other technologists. This position reports to the Manager of Enterprise Architecture. Primary Job Responsibilities Solutions Analyst As a Solutions Analyst, you will partner with operational and clinical teams to identify business needs, design practical technology solutions, and support implementation from concept through adoption. Key responsibilities include: + Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and recommend technology solutions that improve patient care and operational efficiency. + Design, configure, and implement solutions using low-code/no-code platforms, automation tools, AI technologies, and other enterprise applications. + Create process flows, solution documentation, and testing plans to ensure successful implementation. + Support solution adoption through user training, communication, and change management activities. + Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Information Systems, Information Security, and other technology teams to ensure solutions align with organizational standards. + Coach and support citizen developers while promoting responsible and effective use of emerging technologies, including generative AI. Senior Solutions Analyst In addition to the responsibilities above, the Senior Solutions Analyst serves as a strategic technology partner, leading complex initiatives and providing technical leadership across the organization. Responsibilities include: + Lead enterprise-wide and cross-functional solution initiatives from discovery through implementation, partnering with senior operational and clinical leaders. + Provide technical leadership by making solution design decisions that align with enterprise architecture and long-term technology strategy. + Lead buy-versus-build evaluations, vendor assessments, proof-of-concept initiatives, and technology recommendations. + Mentor Solutions Analysts, citizen developers, and other technical staff by sharing best practices, design standards, and platform expertise. + Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies that enhance organizational effectiveness and improve patient outcomes. All Levels + Perform additional cross-functional responsibilities and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required + Bachelor's degree in computer science, management of information systems, information technology, business administration, healthcare informatics, or a related field. + Minimum of 4 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, solution design, or a related role. A relevant master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience. Senior Solution Analyst (in addition to all Solution Analyst requirements): + Minimum of 7 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, solution design, or a related role. A relevant master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Experience gathering business and technical requirements and producing solution designs. + Ability to test assumptions and clarify the actual need behind a stakeholder's request before committing to a design. + Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and business problems to technical teams. + Understanding of business analysis methods, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, and acceptance criteria. + Understanding of solution design principles and how to fit a solution to available platforms and architecture. + Ability to move between analysis, design, and hands-on build work within the same engagement. + Understanding of generative AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use in healthcare settings. + Ability to define acceptance criteria and partner with stakeholders to measure adoption. + Ability to coach citizen developers and recognize when a solution needs to move into centralized development. + Comfort working in ambiguous problem spaces where requirements are not yet defined. + Ability to learn new tools and platforms as the technology landscape evolves. Senior Solution Analyst (in addition to the above) + Experience leading solution design and delivery for initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders or business units. + Ability to make solution architecture decisions independently within Enterprise Architecture guidelines. + Ability to engage effectively with senior leaders, including vice presidents and clinical leadership, on solution direction. + Ability to lead buy-vs-build investigations and present recommendations to leadership. + Ability to mentor and develop other analysts and technologists. Preferred + Experience working in healthcare or with electronic health record (EHR) systems. + Experience with Oracle Health Millennium. + Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL Server, or Power BI. + Experience with low-code or AI agent development platforms such as OutSystems, Microsoft Power Platform, or Copilot Studio. + Experience designing or implementing systems integrations using REST APIs. + Experience developing or implementing generative AI solutions or agents. + Experience with FHIR or HL7 healthcare data standards. + Software development or software engineering experience. + Experience with UI/UX design. + Experience leading vendor evaluations or buy-vs-build investigations.
