CTG is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect with expertise in enterprise data center architecture, colocation environments, and Microsoft Azure platform foundations. This role will focus on designing scalable, resilient, and operationally supportable hybrid infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and cloud transformation initiatives.

 

Location: Buffalo, NY (Preferred) / Remote
Travel Requirement: Travel to Buffalo, NY every 4–6 weeks (Monday–Thursday in office)
Duration: 6 months

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design end-to-end hybrid cloud and colocation infrastructure architectures across Azure and enterprise data center environments.
  • Define resiliency, redundancy, disaster recovery, and operational readiness strategies aligned with RTO/RPO objectives.
  • Architect secure connectivity, network segmentation, and integration patterns between Azure and on-premises/colo environments.
  • Align solutions with Azure landing zone principles including identity, governance, networking, security, and operations.
  • Develop reusable reference architectures, technical standards, and governance documentation.
  • Create architecture diagrams, dependency maps, operational models, and technical decision records.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, platform, and risk teams to deliver compliant enterprise solutions.
  • Support Agile and DevOps delivery teams by providing architectural guidance and implementation oversight.
  • Communicate technical architecture decisions clearly to business, technical, and executive stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, infrastructure architecture, or platform engineering roles.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise data center and colocation hosting models.
  • Deep understanding of resiliency, availability, disaster recovery, and operational readiness practices.
  • Strong Microsoft Azure architecture knowledge including networking, governance, identity, connectivity, and operations management.
  • Experience designing scalable, compliant enterprise infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong documentation, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Azure landing zones, governance frameworks, and hybrid cloud strategies.
  • Familiarity with telemetry, monitoring, and operational support frameworks.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $43.06 to $71.76/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
