Description

Job Title: Solution Architect, CRM & Digital Marketing
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 09+ Months
Pay rate Range: $85- $87/hr

Job Description
This is a highly technical, hands-on role responsible for the architecture, stability, and ongoing build-out of our Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFClient) ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a hybrid of technologist and project manager: someone who can be trusted to keep day-to-day campaign operations running flawlessly while simultaneously architecting new automations, journeys, and experiences requested by the business.

Responsibilities
  • Own the day-to-day operational health of all SFClient campaigns, automations, and journeys proactively monitoring sends, data flows, and triggers to ensure everything is running as expected, and troubleshooting/resolving issues before they impact the business.
  • Architect, build, and deploy new automations, triggered journeys, and personalized customer experiences in Journey Builder and Automation Studio, using AMPScript, SQL, and (where needed) SSJS.
  • Act as the primary technical project manager across multiple simultaneous requests from CRM, Retention, Product, Data, and Creative teams triaging priority, scoping technical feasibility, and managing timelines in a fast-paced, always-on streaming environment.
  • Design, build, and maintain a scalable data model within SFClient (Contact Builder, Data Extensions, Audience Builder), partnering closely with Data Engineering on data integrity and flow.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for integration issues between SFClient and adjacent platforms (Marketing Cloud Connect, APIs, mobile push providers, CDPs).
  • Partner with Engineering and Data teams to Product and implement new SFClient-adjacent integrations that support business and personalization goals.
  • Establish and document technical standards, build patterns, and QA protocols for SFClient development to ensure consistency, scalability, and auditability across the platform.
  • Evaluate new SFClient features, tools, and capabilities and make recommendations on adoption to improve efficiency and campaign performance.
  • Provide informal technical guidance and troubleshooting support to CRM marketers and analysts, helping the broader team understand what's technically possible within the platform (no direct reports, but close day-to-day collaboration with marketers, engineers, and analysts).
  • Partner with the Senior Director on technical roadmap planning and scoping for new CRM and lifecycle initiatives.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience specifically as a Solution Architect (or equivalent senior technical CRM role), with deep, hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise.
  • Expert-level proficiency across core SFClient modules: Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Contact Builder, and Data Extensions.
  • Strong hands-on scripting ability in AMPScript and SQL; working knowledge of SSJS is a plus.
  • Experience working with the SFClient API and integrating Marketing Cloud with external systems (CDPs, mobile push, data warehouses, etc.).
  • Proven ability to project manage and prioritize competing requests from multiple teams simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and audience segmentation logic at scale.
  • Experience in the streaming, subscription, or D2C industry preferred.
  • SFClient certification (Marketing Cloud Developer or Marketing Cloud Consultant) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.

PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Experience with Braze or other ESPs in addition to SFClient.
  • Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (e.g., Hightouch, mParticle, Tealium).
  • Knowledgeable of email compliance and privacy legislation, both domestic and international (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, CCPA).
  • Experience in the streaming D2C industry.
  • Comfort operating in a live-content or sports-driven, high-velocity environment.
