Job Title: .NET Solution Architect
Location: Dallas, TX (3 days onsite)
Contract: 12 months contract (ability to extend)
· Design end-to-end architecture for enterprise applications, cloud platforms, integrations, and infrastructure.
· Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
· Develop architecture diagrams, technical standards, implementation roadmaps, and solution documentation.
· Define application, API, integration, and microservices architecture standards.
· Guide engineering teams to ensure solutions are implemented according to architectural designs.
· Develop and maintain enterprise architecture standards, governance, and technology roadmaps.
· Design cloud-native and hybrid solutions utilizing AWS and Azure technologies.
· Define strategies for application modernization, cloud adoption, automation, and DevOps.
· Ensure solutions support high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and operational efficiency.
· Establish architecture governance and ensure compliance with County policies and security standards.
· Evaluate architectural risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
· Promote best practices for application security, identity management, system integration, and data protection.
· Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to software engineers and technical teams.
· Lead architecture reviews and technical design sessions.
· Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and development teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
· Research emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve County operations.
· Partner with executive leadership, IT Directors, project managers, and business stakeholders to align technology with business objectives.
· Present architecture strategies, technical recommendations, and modernization initiatives to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Build relationships with technology vendors and strategic partners.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· 6+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years in a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or similar architecture-focused role.
· Experience designing enterprise applications, cloud solutions, integrations, and distributed systems.
· Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud computing, APIs, security, and modern application design.

· Backend: .NET, ASP.NET Core.
· Frontend: React.
· Programming: Python.
· Integration: REST APIs, Kafka or other event-streaming platforms.
· Cloud: AWS (Lambda, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, EC2, S3), Azure Cloud Services.
· Containers & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins.
· Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation.
· Databases: SQL Server, NoSQL databases.
