Solution Engineer - Global E-commerce, Seller Business

We re looking for a Solution Engineer/Solution Architect to join our team and help our global merchants and partners grow their business through scalable technical solutions and platform innovation. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, solution architecture, customer engagement, and product development to solve complex Open API-driven integration challenges across commerce, advertising, and partner ecosystems. In this role, you will leverage strong engineering fundamentals, data-driven problem solving, and customer insights to build scalable technical solutions, prototypes, and reusable tools that improve merchant operations, platform adoption, and business growth. You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, and strategic customers to influence platform capabilities while solving complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver scalable Open API-based integration solutions, reusable tools, and technical prototypes across commerce, fulfillment, and partner ecosystems.
• Partner with strategic merchants, ISVs, and internal Engineering teams to design scalable integration patterns, reference architectures, and technical solutions that accelerate partner onboarding and platform adoption.
• Analyze customer pain points, technical data, and platform metrics to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and scalable engineering solutions that improve platform performance, reliability, and customer success.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Data, and strategic customers to solve complex technical challenges, influence product direction, and improve the end-to-end customer experience.
• Serve as the technical owner and trusted advisor for complex customer integrations, providing deep technical guidance while partnering with internal engineering teams to resolve challenging customer scenarios.
• Build lightweight tools, automation, proof-of-concepts, and custom technical solutions that improve customer adoption, operational efficiency, and business metrics.
• Use SQL, data analysis, and technical investigation to identify customer opportunities, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide data-driven recommendations to Product and Engineering teams. Minimum Qualification(s):
• 3+ years of software engineering experience building production systems, or equivalent experience in technical solutions engineering or solution architecture with hands-on programming responsibilities.
• Strong programming skills in one or more general-purpose languages such as Python, Java, Go, or C/C++, with the ability to build custom tools, automation, or prototypes to solve customer and business problems.
• Strong SQL and analytical skills with the ability to investigate complex technical and business problems using data, identify trends, and translate insights into scalable engineering solutions.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders, including enterprise customers and business partners.
• Proven ability to partner across Engineering, Product, Data, and Customer-facing teams to deliver scalable technical solutions and influence platform direction.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, backend services, REST APIs, and integration patterns, with the ability to design scalable solutions and clearly articulate technical tradeoffs.

Preferred Qualification(s):

• Experience working on large-scale API platforms, advertising technology, developer platforms, commerce platforms, or enterprise SaaS products.
• e-commerce experience is preferred.
• Experience influencing product roadmap and platform capabilities by translating customer pain points, technical insights, and data analysis into scalable engineering solutions.
• Experience building reusable tools, automation, proof-of-concepts, or developer-facing solutions that improve customer onboarding, platform adoption, or operational efficiency.
