Solution Engineer III

The Solution Engineer III is responsible for bridging the technical gap between our solution offerings and the needs of our clients. The scope of this job includes collaboration with sales, solution development, and implementation teams to understand client requirements, propose technical solutions, and demonstrate the value of WellSky solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with project managers to recommend, plan, and execute development implementation tasks in alignment with client objectives and develop recommendations for mitigating project risks.

• Facilitate discovery sessions to gather and write requirements and assess feasibility of the custom solution.

• Architect custom solutions with a focus on scalability, security, and performance by leveraging expertise in development tools and technical modalities.

• Perform debugging and root cause analysis for custom solution issues, including documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions.

• Demonstrate expert knowledge in at least one solution application by utilizing multiple functionalities, tools, and modalities for effective customization.

• Communicate effectively with clients regarding the feasibility of requests by providing tailored explanations and ensuring scope adherence.

• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

• At least 4-6 years relevant work experience

• Programming and software development experience, including coding, testing, debugging, and delivering technical solutions throughout the software development lifecycle

• Experience with SQL development and database querying

• Experience developing applications using C#

• Experience working with Azure DevOps, Jira, and GitHub

• Experience building and supporting web services and Web APIs

• Ability to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate technical and non-technical concepts into solution designs and specifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and comfortably with clients and stakeholders

• Ability to work directly with customers to identify, troubleshoot, and solve complex business and technical challenges

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies) to enhance software development, troubleshooting, documentation, and solution design

• Demonstrated interest in adopting emerging AI technologies and incorporating AI-enabled tools into daily workflows

• Experience working in consulting, implementation, professional services, or other client-facing technical environments

Job Expectations:

• Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed

• Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information

• Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
