Solution Engineer - Senior

Job descriptions:
We are looking for a senior level engineer with strong Splash BI & Oracle EBS Finance experience who can step in immediately, protect ongoing delivery, and operate with minimal hand holding in a complex Finance IT environment.

Core Technical Experience / Skills (Required):
8 plus years having held a Senior Engineering role
3 years minimum Splash BI Expertise
Hands on experience implementing and supporting Splash BI in an enterprise environment
Strong understanding of Splash BI data models, cubes, and reporting structures
Ability to optimize Splash BI performance for large Finance datasets
Experience supporting Finance stakeholders

3 years minimum Oracle E Business Suite (EBS) Finance
Deep experience with Oracle EBS Finance modules, such as:
GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management
Strong understanding of EBS table structures and data relationships
Ability to extract, transform, and reconcile EBS financial data for BI/reporting use cases
Experience working with EBS customizations and extensions

Data & Integration Skills
Advanced SQL skills (complex joins, performance tuning, reconciliation queries)
Experience building data feeds from Oracle EBS into BI platforms
Familiarity with:
o File based integrations (SFTP, scheduled extracts)
o Data transformation and validation
Understanding of financial data controls and audit requirements

Lead Engineer / Tech Lead Capabilities
Ability to own end to end technical delivery for Splash BI implementations
Perform architecture reviews and guide design decisions with minimal oversight
Lead code reviews and enforce engineering best practices
Identify technical risks early and recommend mitigation strategies
Comfortable acting as a technical point of contact between engineering, delivery, and business teams

Operational & Production Readiness
Experience supporting production BI environments
Ability to troubleshoot data issues, failed loads, and reporting discrepancies
Strong understanding of change management, releases, and cutover planning
Experience creating and maintaining:
o Runbooks
o Technical documentation
o Data lineage and reconciliation guides

Soft Skills (Very Important for Contractor Success)
Proven ability to ramp up quickly in complex environments
Comfortable working with partial context and imperfect documentation
Clear and concise communicator with technical and non technical audiences
Experience working with global and distributed teams
Ownership mindset focuses on outcomes, not just tasks

Engineering or Computer Science Degree
