Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Solution Architect - Gen AI position! This is a 6 month contract to possible hire opportunity and will be remote in the United States. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing
Serve as the solution architecture extension for the AI domain, translating enterprise AI architectures into detailed physical design guidance for generative AI solutions embedded within business applications and workflows
Architect and design comprehensive GenAI solutions that integrate LLMs and AI services into enterprise applications using standardized patterns including APIs, event-driven architectures, and orchestration frameworks
Guide engineering teams through the complete SDLCfrom design through productionproviding architectural oversight on data exchange patterns, prompt/response handling, and model selection to ensure secure, governed, and auditable AI implementations
Collaborate with domain leadership, enterprise architects, and stakeholders to understand business capabilities and translate them into solution designs that align with architecture standards, governance frameworks, and financial targets
Design and implement security, compliance, and guardrails for GenAI solutions, including safe prompt handling, data protection, policy enforcement, and telemetry for usage monitoring and risk indicators
Partner with Agile teams, data platforms, and cybersecurity teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for scalability, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with established AI governance models
Evaluate and articulate multiple solution approaches, working with domain subject matter experts to communicate value and tradeoffs while ensuring adherence to architecture principles
Research and identify impacts of emerging AI technologies and trends, contributing insights back to enterprise architecture teams for continuous improvement of standards and patterns
What You'll Need to Have
5+ years of relevant architecture and software engineering experience, or 9+ years combined higher education and work experience, with demonstrated expertise in solution architecture
Strong technical background with generative AI technologies, LLM integration, and experience architecting AI-enabled solutions within enterprise environments
Proven experience with multiple programming languages and expertise in developing applications using modern software architecture principles, patterns, and cloud technologies
Deep understanding of data architecture, API design, event-driven architectures, and integration patterns with the ability to ensure secure and governed data flows
Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating effectively across multiple stakeholder groups at varying levels of the organization
Strong ability to research, evaluate, and articulate technical approaches to solving complex AI and integration challenges while balancing business needs with technical constraints
Familiarity with AI governance, security compliance, observability frameworks, and regulatory requirements in enterprise technology environments
