Solutions Engineer/Architect

Position Title: Solutions Engineer/ArchitectPosition Overview:S2Technologies is actively seeking a Solutions Engineer/Architect to provide overall technical leadership and guidance for a program for the US Army. This role joins a high-performing team dedicated to modernizing and sustaining a cloud-native solution aligned with CMMI Level 3 processes. The Solutions Engineer will help evaluate, prioritize, and coordinate technical activities, with a strong focus on implementing new enhancements to support evolving Army operational needs.Responsibilities:Lead engineering, design and technical security activities and support the rest of the teamSupport security posture of the applicationLead development efforts for the applicationManaging CI/CD pipelinesWork with senior developer in planning releasesLead infrastructure design and implementationOversee technical requirements and their executionEducation/Certification Requirements Bachelor's in Information Technology, computer science, project management or related field. The equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. AWS certified Solutions Architect, professional Qualifying DoD 8570.01m Certification (IAT-II) (e.g., Security +)More than 3 years of experience providing IT support servicesRequired Skills/Qualifications/Duty Experience Must live in National Capital RegionAbility to develop application code in the application stackExperience with Accumulo, Hadoop, Zookeeper, and PostgresExperience with JBoss, Angular, Java, Springboot and LinuxExperience with large data infrastructure systems and deploymentsAbility to produce graphics and written documentation for the systemAbility to lead meetings and discussions with client teams, other programs and internallyExperience with intelligence community (desired)Excellent business communication and interpersonal skillsProactive approach to problem solvingDiscipline to complete tasks while working remotely or telecommuting DoD background (desired)Security Requirements Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearanceLocation: Chantilly VA 20151S2Technologies is an equal-opportunity employer.
