We are seeking a technically adept Solutions Engineer to support Fortra's Digital Risk & Email Protection business. As a trusted advisor, you will help organizations combat phishing, business email compromise, brand impersonation, domain abuse, account takeover, and data leakage using Fortra Brand Protection, Cloud Email Protection, DMARC, and Secure Email Gateway technologies. You will lead technical discovery, demonstrations, solution design, and proof-of-value engagements while partnering with customers, sales teams, and channel partners to deliver measurable security outcomes. This role combines deep cybersecurity expertise with customer-facing leadership and thought leadership responsibilities, including webinars, tradeshows, technical enablement, and market advocacy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Be a team with sales representatives, and work together on any activities with prospective customers
- Conduct “pain discovery” processes to understand the customer needs and
articulate a solution that best addresses that need. - Develop, present and deliver high-impact demonstrations
- Be the owner on customer’s evaluation process of the offered products and solutions, by executing trials and proof of concepts.
- Detect technical and functional objections from the prospective customer during the sales process, be creative finding solutions, and work together with the appropriate team for remediation.
- Build and defend proposals to customers, articulating the benefits of our company as the best solution that addresses that need to all levels, including “C” level executives.
- Estimate professional services effort and build a project plan, when needed, to guarantee a successful deployment on customer.
- Understand the competition and be, with your participation, a differentiator during the sales process.
- Know the company portfolio to generate and detect cross-selling opportunities.
- Work together in partners activities like visits, demos, proposals, events, and others.
- Help on partner recruiting process, participate in calls with potential partners.
- Participate in partner enablement activities like tech training and functional
enablement. - Deliver technical presentations and responds to technical questions during sales calls.
- Represent the Company at Trade Shows, User Group events, Conferences, and Virtual events.
- Provide presentations at events where applicable.
- Participate in online webinars on specific topics.
- Assist in the outbound launch of new products and releases activities.
- Serve as the market expert on products, from how customers use them, to how the competition positions against them, to how the field sells and services them.
- Work under low supervision

- Keep learning on sales processes, market knowledge, and developing your soft skills.
- Continuously refine and improve business analysis processes to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, email security, threat intelligence, digital risk protection, security consulting, or enterprise technology solutions.
- 2+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Security Consultant, or Technical Account Manager supporting enterprise cybersecurity sales.
- Deep technical understanding of phishing, Business Email Compromise (BEC), account takeover, brand impersonation, domain abuse, email authentication (DMARC, SPF, DKIM), threat intelligence, and secure email gateway technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Google Workspace, identity security, cloud security, and enterprise email architectures.
- Ability to design and articulate solutions leveraging Digital Risk Protection, Threat Intelligence, Email Security, DMARC Enforcement, Secure Email Gateway, DLP, and Incident Response capabilities.
- Proven ability to influence technical and business decision makers through discovery sessions, executive presentations, demonstrations, proofs of value, and solution workshops.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage audiences ranging from security analysts and email administrators to CISOs and executive leadership.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a consultative approach to solving complex cybersecurity challenges.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, Security+, CCSP, GIAC, Microsoft Security, or similar) are highly desirable.
Compensation: 125,000 USD - 165,000 USD Base
