Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Solutions Technical Program Manager (Solutions TPM) who will be part of the Sortation Vertical focused on next generation sortation products, as well as supporting the existing solutions in the field. The TPM will manage Solution development lifecycle (concept design to firm release) of innovative programs aimed at improving the efficiency and lowering the cost of Amazon's Fulfillment Centers and Sortation Centers. This position is responsible for coordinating the design lifecycle of 30+ new installations to meet program timelines and requires collaboration with Program Leads, Systems Engineering, Deployment Engineering, Software Development, and Customer Support.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the effective and efficient delivery of complex solutions designs

  • Interact with key stakeholders to define and deliver against project goals, including both technical and operational deliverables

  • Work cross functionally to support extensible solution development and integration. An ideal candidate has experience with complex system design, including experience integrating software deliverables

  • Drive consensus on technical decisions and ensure the appropriate resources are employed to deliver high quality results

  • Lead the development and decomposition of comprehensive functional requirements & specifications, partnering with Product Management and Systems Engineering.

  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at the Solutions Design layer

  • Create, maintain and disseminate development plans and status to stakeholders

  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities

  • Develop and drive Solution Design schedules

  • Partner with groups external to the Sortation Team to successfully deliver on project goals

  • Triage, prioritize, and execute against incoming requests from the field or partner teams

About the team

The AR Sortation Solutions Vertical is responsible for delivering and maintaining high performing package sortation solutions thoroughout the network. The team works closely with our customers as well as with other verticals, core engineering and orgs, including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Tech Ops, GSS, Manipulation, Mobility, Core Software, Deployment Engineering, World Wide Design Engineering (WWDE), Sort Tech, and Construction.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience

  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
