Performs technical ultrasound procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

EDUCATION
+ Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
+ Associate's: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent education/experience
+ Other: Graduation from a certified school of ultrasound
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
+ ARDMS-American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
+ BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
+ RVT preferred
+ OB preferred
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
+ 2 years related experience and/or training
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
+ Demonstrates competence in all areas of ultrasound positioning.
+ Knowledge of physiology procedure preparation and technical factors.
+ Able to operate all ultrasound equipment, and select and modify technical factors as needed.
+ Provides for good patient rapport by maintaining positive and effective communication skills to alleviate patient anxiety.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
+ Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
+ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
+ Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
+ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
+ Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay Range is $69.22 to $88.34 / hour
