Job Summary:

Job Title: Sonographer
Location: Cooperstown, NY 13326
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform high-quality general and vascular ultrasound examinations.
  • Independently complete upper and lower extremity venous duplex studies.
  • Perform upper and lower extremity arterial duplex studies.
  • Conduct carotid duplex examinations.
  • Perform bypass graft studies and vascular assessments.
  • Complete mesenteric artery and renal artery duplex studies.
  • Conduct upper and lower extremity vein mapping studies.
  • Perform fistula flow and venous reflux studies.
  • Maintain compliance with IAC-accredited vascular laboratory standards.
  • Accurately document and communicate examination findings.
  • Participate in rotating on-call coverage schedules.
  • Provide ultrasound services at additional Bassett locations as needed, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and outreach centers.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.

To be considered for this position, you should have:
  • Current ARDMS certification (Required).
  • Minimum of 4 years of ultrasound experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in both general and vascular ultrasound studies.
  • Ability to independently perform all required vascular examinations listed above.
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification preferred.
  • Experience working in an IAC-accredited vascular laboratory environment preferred.
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
