Summary:

Operates ultrasound equipment to produce ultrasound studies related to specific specialty. Identifies, records, and adapts procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.

Formal Education Required:

• Completion of a Sonography program from an accredited school of ultrasound technology
• Registered in field of experience (RVS, RVT, RDMS, RCS, RDCS)
• Basic Life Support

Experience & Training Required:

• One (1) year of full-time ultrasound experience specific to field of posted position preferred

• Ability to assume collaborative relationship with physicians and other allied health care professionals
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, health care personnel, patients, families, and visitors
• Provides quality exams in this modality on a routine basis
• Ability to calibrate and operate equipment
• Ability to lift and transport patients and equipment
• Ability to independently prioritize work and effectively resolve problems.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Ability to work as a team member
• Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
