Position Summary:
Stand Alone ED needing a multi-modality sonographer to work PRN with limited call in our Stand-Alone ED and Outpatient Center in Jamestown. Performs diagnostic general and Vascular ultrasound procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
Conduct ultrasound exams, including general, OB, and vascular studies, according to established protocols.
Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in proper working conditions.
Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Obtain and analyze patient history and clinical information to tailor ultrasound examinations effectively.
Document and maintain accurate records of examinations and findings.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to discuss findings nd assist in diagnostic evaluations.
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through ongoing education and training.
Position Qualification:
Certification/Registration (RDMS) General ans OB with RVT to be completed within 2 years of employment.
Certification/Registration (ARRT) Sonography with RVT to be completed within 2 years of employment.
Possible multi modality in Radiography Certification/Registration (ARRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (healthcare)
