What Were Looking For
Education: • 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required
Experience: • Minimum of one year of OB experience, preferred
Licensure/Certification/Registration (required): • RDMS, OB
Additional Skills/Requirements (required): • Must have current BLS certification upon hire and maintain throughout employment as required by department • Must maintain ARDMS certification • Excellent communication skills required • Working knowledge of various ultrasound devices • Must have ability to independently obtain high quality images needed to assist MFM physician with diagnosis • Perform high-level sterilization according to Clinical Compliance standards following each exam • Ability to successfully complete departmental and organizational skills validation and competencies as required
Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred): • Able to perform independently to obtain high quality images and advanced Doppler techniques • Able to assist MFM physician with complex procedures • Able to put patient at ease during ultrasound(s) and procedure(s) • Reconciles patients medical and prenatal history, current medications, medication allergies etc. • Demonstrate willingness to be flexible as needed to accomplish departmental needs and goals
