Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) to join a fast-paced, Level IV Trauma and teaching hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in general, vascular, and OB sonography, with the ability to perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures across diverse patient populations, including neonatal and adult patients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and pelvic studies
  • Conduct neonatal head and abdominal scans, liver duplex, and vascular imaging
  • Ensure high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams for accurate diagnosis
  • Operate ultrasound equipment and maintain proper documentation in EMR
  • Perform portable ultrasound procedures throughout the hospital as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of Ultrasound/Sonography experience
  • ARDMS certifications required – ALL 3: ABD (Abdomen), OB, RVT
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Experience in vascular, OB, and general ultrasound imaging
  • Ability to work independently in a clinical hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in trauma center or acute care hospital
  • Experience working with neonatal and high-risk patients
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR and PACS systems

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • 10-hour night shifts with a mostly fixed schedule
  • No on-call requirement
  • Weekend/Holiday work based on schedule
  • Support from sonographers, RT staff, and leadership team
