Join our dynamic team in Morristown, NJ, where you'll have the opportunity to work in a premiere cardiac center, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and facilities. We are seeking a skilled professional to perform high-quality Adult Echo studies, contributing to exceptional patient care and outcomes.

Duties

• Prepare patients for examination with a focus on comfort and satisfaction, explaining procedures in easy-to-understand terms.
• Perform ultrasound procedures, relieve patients of pre-testing anxiety, and monitor them throughout the process.
• Set up equipment to administer procedures promptly.
• Review prior reports, images, and patient charts thoroughly.
• Ensure that proper images are obtained, studies are complete and thorough, and appropriate techniques are employed.
• Maintain records and logs of exams performed.
• Manage inventory and purchase supplies for the assigned area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience performing high-quality Adult Echo studies as per ASE & IAC Guidelines.
• Dedicated inpatient echo work experience with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography.
• Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.
• Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
• Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities, and respond quickly to critical findings.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with TEE and Stress Echo.
• Familiarity with 3D echo imaging.
• Knowledge of TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, and closure device protocols.
• Maintaining ICAEL-accreditation echo lab standards.
• Experience using Philips ie33 and Epiq systems.
• Familiarity with Epic hospital information system.

Schedule Notes

Available shifts are either Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm or Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. We are seeking candidates with several years of dedicated echocardiography experience in an inpatient hospital setting. It is crucial that applicants have strong, hands-on inpatient scanning experience, including the ability to perform studies in acute care environments.
