Join our premier cardiac center located in Morristown, NJ, where we prioritize patient comfort and satisfaction. We are seeking an experienced sonographer to perform high-quality Adult Echo studies. This role involves preparing patients for examinations, explaining procedures in easy-to-understand terms, and relieving pre-testing anxiety. You will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures, directly observing and monitoring patients throughout the process.
Duties
Set up equipment to administer procedures in a timely fashion.
Review prior reports, images, and patient charts carefully.
Ensure proper images are obtained, studies are complete and thorough, and appropriate techniques have been employed. Notify the reader once complete.
Maintain records and logs of exams performed.
Manage inventory and purchase supplies for the assigned area.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
Experienced sonographer with the ability to perform high-quality Adult Echo studies as per ASE & IAC Guidelines.
Dedicated inpatient echo work experience is a must, with documentation of a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography.
Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.
Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities, and quickly respond to critical findings.
Must have TAVR TTE experience scanning pre-TAVR treatment patients with critical Aortic stenosis.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience with TEE and Stress Echo.
Familiarity with 3D echo imaging.
Experience with TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, and closure device protocols.
