Position: OB/GYN Sonographer Summary: Are you a skilled sonographer looking for more than just a job? We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN Sonographer for a Per Diem position (as needed, 8+ hours weekly) in Silver Springs, Maryland who will report to our Clinical Regional Manager. Credentials: - RDMS in OB/GYN (Required)
- 1-2 years of experience post-RDMS (preferred)
- 2 years of OB/GYN experience
- GE Voluson experience is a plus
- Experience working with Viewpoint reporting software is a plus
Education: - Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Program
Primary Responsibilities: - Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations according to ordering physician’s requisition
- Collaborate with the physician and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings
- Explain the procedures to patients in a friendly, comforting manner to ensure their understanding
- Uphold safety, privacy, and infection control standards
- Continuing education to stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques
Skills: - Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and physicians
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently
