My Health Onsite Job Description: Sonographer Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate (at least one year of experience) Ultrasound Sonographer to join our medical team in a primary care and occupational health setting. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensure high-quality imaging and patient comfort, while collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. The majority of the ultrasounds performed are wellness ultrasounds (Thyroid, Carotids, Abdominal Organs, Pelvic and gender specific anatomy and prostate\testes as appropriate). Key Responsibilities Patient Preparation: Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients and address any questions or concerns. Review medical history and position patients appropriately for imaging. Ultrasound Examination: Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality screening and\or diagnostic images. Conduct scans across various body regions, including abdomen, pelvis, thyroid, vascular, musculoskeletal, and echocardiographic studies as required. Whole Body Ultrasound for preventative screening Image Analysis and Documentation: Analyze and identify abnormalities in ultrasound images. Accurately document findings, measurements, and observations in patient medical records. Collaborate with physicians to provide critical imaging insights for diagnostic and screening purposes. Adhere to safety protocols to protect patients and maintain a safe environment. Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and other medical team members to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient-centered care. Provide a summary of findings and contribute to treatment planning discussions. Qualifications: Education: Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Certification: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification preferred. Experience: 1 year of proficiency in general ultrasound techniques; additional experience in echocardiography and vascular imaging is required. Skills: Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with expertise in imaging interpretation. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Bilingual capabilities are a bonus.
