Job Summary:
-Prepares patient for examination focusing on patient comfort and satisfaction, explains the procedure in easy-to-understand terms performs ultrasound procedures, relieve patients of pre-testing anxiety and directly observes the and monitors the patient during the entire process.
-Sets-up equipment to administer procedures in a timely fashion.
-Carefully reviews prior reports and images, and patient chart.
-Ensures that proper images have been obtained, studies are complete and through, appropriate techniques have been employed, reader is notified.
-Maintains records and logs exams performed.
-Maintains control of inventory and purchases of supplies for the assigned area.
-Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
-Experienced Sonographer to perform high quality Adult Echo studies as per ASE & IAC Guidelines in a premiere cardiac center.
-Dedicated inpatient echo work experience is a must. Experience documented by institutional referral with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography.
-Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.
-Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
-Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities and quickly respond to critical findings.
-We are seeking candidates with several years of dedicated echocardiography experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
-Many resumes indicate experience across multiple ultrasound modalities (e.g., vascular, abdominal, OB), but for this role, we are specifically prioritizing candidates whose primary focus has been echocardiography.
-Additionally, some candidates list experience within a hospital system; however, their work was performed primarily in outpatient or satellite settings rather than with inpatient populations.
-For this position, we require strong, hands-on inpatient scanning experience, including the ability to perform studies in acute care environments.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
-TEE and Stress Echo experience.
-Familiarity with 3D echo imaging.
-TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, closure device protocols.
-Maintaining ICAEL-accreditation echo lab standards.
-Experience using Philips ie33 and Epiq systems.
-Familiarity with Epic hospital information system.

Required Education:
-High School Diploma or GED required.
-Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
-Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
-Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
-Experience documented by institutional referral with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography.
Shift:
-Either Sun-Thurs 10:30-6:30p or Tues-Sat 10:30-6:30p.
-38 hours/week
-4 days a week
