The Sonographer operates imaging equipment and software, mostly ultrasound equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. The Sonographer position also requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.

ELIGIBILITY FOR INPATIENT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL

Career Ladder Opportunities:

Sonographer:

  • Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours
  • Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Certification: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 2 applicable advanced. registries/certifications within the applicable work area; Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.

Advanced Sonographer:

  • Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours.
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Certification: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 3 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area OR 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area and 5 years of applicable experience; Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.

Senior Sonographer:

  • Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours.
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Certification: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 4 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area OR 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area and 7 years of applicable experience; Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
