RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together.

As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanners to produce images of the patients body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient-centered approach, you will provide Sonography services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a casual/PRN position working on an as-needed basis during Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • 90 Sonography Imaging:
  • Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
  • Explains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged
  • Performs routine and advanced Sonography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
  • Adjusts sonography scan parameters correctly and as needed
  • Follows physicians orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including sanitizing equipment, to promote good safety habits for patients and team members
  • Maintains the American College of Radiology (ACR) toolkit and accreditation requirements

Sonography Department Support

  • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  • Assist with the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
