Responsible for effective delivery of care to patient in a multi-modality setting by operating US equipment to capture appropriate images. Prepares patients for US exams and explains procedure to patient prior to the exam. Correlates the clinical history with the US exam to be performed. Follows Professional, and Departmental guidelines while performing diagnostic and accurate imaging.
Imaging includes Breast, Abdomen, OB/GYN, Renal, Endo-vaginal, Aorta, Testicular, Thyroid, non-vascular limited, and pediatric specific. Able to access, interpret, communicate, and deliver age-appropriate care. Ability to troubleshoot equipment. Practice universal precautions and aseptic technique to prevent cross contamination. Ensure all images are properly marked and patient identification is accurate. Respond to individual needs of patients and family. Adheres to standards of care per policy and procedure manual. Treat fellow employees in a respectful professional manner demonstrating PRIDE values. Ensure open, respectful communication between peers. Maintains open communication with Manager, Assistant Manager and Business Supervisor. Provides feedback and suggestions for improvement. Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers. Our Atlantic Neuroscience Institute is the region's leader in neuroscience care.
