Job Title Sorter

Job Summary

The Sorter is responsible for accurately sorting, organizing, and preparing packages or materials for shipment or storage within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely, accurate order fulfillment and maintaining efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort packages, cartons, or materials by destination, size, route, or product type. • Scan and label items using handheld scanners or warehouse systems. • Inspect items for damage, accuracy, and proper labeling. • Load and unload materials from conveyors, pallets, or carts. • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards. • Follow all warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards. • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals. • Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to a supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred, but not required. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety practices. Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
