    Description

    Duration: 12 months
    Description:

    The Sourcing Execution Manager tasks include:

    • Under the oversight of the Sourcing Category Lead (ORP), the Sourcing Execution Manager IV will be:
      • Executing sourcing strategies for the Tech Ops (manufacturing) categories focusing on CDMOs for Biologics & Small Molecule DS, DP & Packaging.
      • Supporting the development of the preferred sourcing strategy for Tech Ops (manufacturing) categories by executing strategic sourcing initiatives that support the needs of the business while also meeting financial, operational, risk, quality, regulatory, and assurance of supply/services control objectives.
      • Executing high value and high impact sourcing activities with cross-functional teams by soliciting RFx’s, leading contractual and rate card negotiations and ensuring the strategic contractual infrastructure is in place to support business priorities.
      • Executing the preferred sourcing strategy at the study-level in partnership with the clinical study teams.
      • Ensuring and monitoring compliance with preferred strategies, sourcing policies and processes through stakeholder communication, training, and the identification and reporting of exceptions and deviations.
      • Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
      • Identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities within the process area.
      • Supporting the identification and achievement of annual savings goals within assigned categories.
      • Creating excellence through consistent, high-quality outcomes.
      • Providing appropriate training at the study-level to the clinical study teams on the importance of following Sourcing policies and processes.
      • Implementing best practices in Sourcing including compliance to preferred supplier strategies, accurate spend analysis, usage of RFx tools and templates, and contract management.
      • Supporting negotiations for Master Services Agreements and Amendments.
      • Facilitating task orders and change orders to ensure timely execution of contracts and budget alignment.
      • Enabling the success of the Managed Service Provider (MSP) model by establishing R&D ways of working, category specific contract templates, and escalation pathways.
      • Performing daily activities related to sourcing projects including the development of RFx strategy and on-going contract negotiations.
      • Developing operational metrics to ensure continuous monitoring and process improvement across all sourcing projects and reporting them to Sourcing leadership.
      • Ensuring all assigned sourcing projects have clear objectives including financial and operational benefits, aligned with business stakeholders.
      • Partnering with clinical study teams, and other key process owners to ensure project timelines are met.
      • Actively seeking development of sourcing and financial processes.
      • Supporting other activities or projects as assigned.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience in CDMO Strategic Sourcing roles including the ability to work through transformational efforts within the team.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sciences or relevant technical expertise. Advanced degree (MBA/MS) preferred.
    • Experience within the Pharmaceutical or Biotech R&D category; demonstrated expertise in the discipline and strong understanding of development of new drugs.
    • Experience in leading and executing large, complex sourcing events in the CDMO category, yielding preferred or strategic partnerships. Experience in CDMO categories strongly preferred.
    • Experience in implementing the preferred partnership strategy at the study-level.
    • Experience in interacting with clinical study teams and suppliers.
    • Proficiency in supporting the development of procurement strategies in alignment with Tech Ops stakeholders to maximize efficiency and minimize cost with minimal oversight.
    • Experience in negotiating supplier contracts and rate cards that lead to the greatest value for money and quality for the organization.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in launching and managing financial KPI's for Sourcing.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in building successful stakeholder relationships.
    • Experience in data analysis and extracting key actionable observations.
    • Basic understanding of GMP guidelines.
    • Familiar with emerging Procurement technologies.

    Required Skills Include:

    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clinical study teams and suppliers. Ability to simplify complex technical sourcing requirements into concepts the clinical study teams can understand, assess, and ultimately use to make decisions.
    • Anticipate trends, understand implications and create actionable plans to prepare for future needs.
    • Strong customer service focus.
    • Experience listening to client needs and partnering to deliver results that are mutually beneficial for the client and the organization.
    • Effective influencing and negotiating skills, both external and internal, and ability to flex influence with various functions within the organization according to their needs.
    • High degree of analytical skills, able to rapidly understand and synthesize disparate data into meaningful information to support critical business decisions.
