Payrate: $78.00- $80.00/hr.
 
Summary
The Sourcing Manager / Category Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Software, Cyber, and Cloud is responsible for leading complex sourcing initiatives, negotiating strategic technology agreements, and delivering cost savings across software, cloud, cybersecurity, and infrastructure categories. This role serves as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by managing large-scale negotiations, supporting transformational business initiatives, and ensuring procurement activities align with regulatory, risk, information security, and organizational requirements. The position requires extensive strategic sourcing experience, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to effectively engage with global vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead direct negotiations for large, complex software, cloud, cybersecurity, and technology agreements, including contract scoping, commercial negotiations, and coordination of legal drafting activities.
  • Manage strategic sourcing initiatives related to infrastructure software products and large-scale business transformation projects.
  • Identify and deliver cost savings opportunities through contract renewals, renegotiations, and supplier management strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support to global transactional sourcing teams on contract renewals and procurement activities involving significant annual contract values.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate Master License Agreements, Cloud Service Agreements, and related technology contracts in collaboration with Legal teams.
  • Negotiate information security, cybersecurity, and technology risk contract provisions with support from Information Security and Legal subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate, prepare, manage, and execute RFx processes, competitive bidding activities, and vendor evaluations to optimize cost, service, and business value.
  • Ensure all sourcing, procurement, and supplier management activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory, risk, compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of organizational sourcing processes and leverage established procedures to achieve savings and delivery objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with business, legal, finance, risk, information security, and supplier stakeholders to support strategic sourcing initiatives and contract execution.
 
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience preferred.
 
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of strategic sourcing experience focused on information technology-related spend categories.
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing and negotiating cloud software, software licensing, cybersecurity, and technology services agreements.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings and financial benefits through strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Experience managing complex technology negotiations involving multiple stakeholders and contractual requirements.
  • Experience working with global technology vendors and supplier ecosystems.
 
Required Skills

  • Understanding of procurement best practices, supplier risk management, information security requirements, and accounts payable processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving, and complex business environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
 
Preferred Skills
  • Deep expertise in cloud software sourcing and contract negotiations.
  • Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation or technology modernization programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration within global teams.
  • Experience managing challenging stakeholders with diplomacy and professionalism.
 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $78.00 - $80.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
