Sourcing Manager

Our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of durable medical equipment (DME), is seeking a strategic Sourcing Manager with expertise in strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management for mechanical components and manufactured products.

This role is responsible for ensuring critical components are sourced efficiently, purchase orders are executed accurately, supplier relationships are optimized, and inventory levels support uninterrupted production.

Responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing initiatives for mechanical components and direct materials, ensuring reliable supply and cost-effective procurement strategies.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize supplier performance, inventory availability, quality, and total cost of ownership.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and supplier agreements to maximize value and support business objectives.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to source components for new product introductions while ensuring on-time production launches.
• Manage purchase orders, supplier performance, inventory planning, and material availability to prevent production disruptions.
• Analyze bills of materials and identify cost reduction opportunities through supplier negotiations, alternative sourcing, and value engineering initiatives.
• Monitor supplier risk, develop mitigation plans, and maintain continuity of supply for critical materials and components.
• Track sourcing KPIs, procurement performance, and project milestones while providing leadership with actionable reporting and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve procurement processes, strengthen supplier partnerships, and drive continuous operational improvements.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical parts, industrial components, manufacturing processes, and inventory management.
• Proven experience negotiating supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and long-term procurement strategies.
• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and material planning for production operations.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and procurement analytics.
• Excellent project management, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities with a results-driven mindset.
