Sourcing Manager IV – Device Allocation & Supply Planning

Location: Bellevue, WA or Overland Park, KS

Onsite Requirement: In‑office 5 days per week

Start Time:6:00–6:30 AM local time

Role Overview

The Sourcing Manager IV is responsible for driving device allocation and supply planning strategies in support of high‑volume product launches and ongoing demand. This role requires strong analytical judgment, comfort operating in ambiguity, and the ability to clearly communicate allocation decisions and inventory strategies to both leadership and cross‑functional partners.

The environment is fast‑paced and often dynamic, making organization, prioritization, and proactive communication critical to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead device launch allocation plans, ensuring product availability aligns with demand forecasts and business priorities
  • Manage channel‑level allocation strategies, adjusting plans as demand or supply conditions change
  • Oversee estimated shipment dates (ESDs) and backorder recovery plans for constrained inventory
  • Partner closely with Retail, IPP, and internal stakeholders to maximize sell‑through during supply limitations
  • Analyze demand, inventory, and performance data to influence supply purchasing and allocation decisions
  • Track category performance against targets and conduct supplier performance reviews for assigned partners
  • Establish, document, and continuously improve allocation best practices and SOPs
  • Communicate allocation strategies, tradeoffs, and updates clearly to leadership, business partners, and team members

Technology & Systems Experience

  • Experience with demand, supply, or allocation planning systems
  • Exposure to ERP planning tools preferred (e.g., SAP, O9, or similar platforms), but not required
  • Strong comfort working with large data sets to support allocation and inventory decisions

What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Reviewing supply, demand, and inventory data
  • Making real‑time allocation decisions and adjustments
  • Communicating impacts and tradeoffs to partners and leadership
  • Influencing purchasing or replenishment decisions based on data and constraints
  • Managing competing priorities in a time‑sensitive environment

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in sourcing, allocation planning, supply chain, or demand planning roles
  • Prior experience in telecom, consumer electronics, or large‑scale supply chain environments strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to operate effectively when priorities shift quickly

Priority Soft Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm, structured, and decisive in a chaotic or ambiguous environment
  • Comfort influencing cross‑functional partners without direct authority

What Sets Stellar Candidates Apart

Strong candidates often bring many of the following:

  • Experience supporting national or enterprise‑scale launches with tight supply constraints
  • Demonstrated ability to defend allocation decisions with clear data and business rationale
  • History of creating or refining SOPs and repeatable planning processes
  • Advanced Excel or analytical skills used to translate data into operational decisions
  • Proven track record of executive‑level communication, especially around tradeoffs and risk
  • Ability to anticipate downstream impacts and proactively adjust plans before issues escalate
  • Comfortable operating early hours and being a key decision‑maker at the start of the business day
