Description

Job Overview:

Pay Range $50.89hr - $55.89hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • University degree, with a business-related or supply chain degree, preferably a post-graduate business qualification.
  • 3+ years of procurement experience with experience in basic contracting, business enterprise systems, and spot buying.
  • Experience with enterprise systems and procure-to-pay tools and eSourcing tools is required.
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding in supporting cost reduction and value improvement programs.
  • Experience in operational excellence or continuous improvement methodologies as well as experience in Life Sciences are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for executing Direct Procurement Operations activities for Diagnostics, Indianapolis.
  • Primary responsibility as a Project Support Specialist to facilitate the transition to a new SAP ERP system, focusing on master data cleansing and migration workstreams to ensure seamless integration within the new environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute project milestones, manage technical documentation, and support the successful rollout of the system across the organization.
  • Operational Procurement activities including supplier management, escalations, sourcing, cost savings, and continuous improvement.

Skills:

  • Understands and frequently uses quantitative and/or qualitative data to drive decisions.
  • Identifies risks to support statements or hypotheses.
  • Works independently to develop and implement a negotiation plan/strategy.
  • Good communication skills and demonstrated understanding of translating business requirements into procurement specifications with customer service in mind.
  • Tailors messages and communications appropriately with limited supervision to ensure understanding.
  • Contributes to meetings and team presentations/briefings and asks appropriate questions to gather information.
  • High level of proficiency in business enterprise tools and understanding of the end-to-end procurement process; SAP experience required.
