Sourcing Specialist II – Nuclear

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist II – Nuclear to support the strategic sourcing and procurement of complex, high-value equipment and services within a nuclear environment.

This role will partner closely with internal stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing strategies, lead supplier negotiations, manage competitive bid processes, and oversee supplier activities from contract award through completion.

The ideal candidate brings significant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract negotiation, and supplier management and is comfortable working with senior-level representatives of suppliers and manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies in partnership with key internal stakeholders for complex, high-value equipment and services.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies.
• Develop and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Analyze supplier proposals, pricing, commercial terms, and other responses.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers and manufacturers, primarily working with upper-level management.
• Negotiate and award contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
• Manage ongoing purchase order and agreement maintenance, including:
  • Invoice discrepancies and mismatches
  • Pricing changes
  • Purchase order modifications
  • Agreement updates
• Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, external customers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Manage post-award supplier activities, including settlements, claims, disputes, and other commercial matters.
• Maintain knowledge of assigned commodities and available sources of supply.
• Identify and support supplier diversity opportunities.
• Monitor market and supply conditions that could impact current or future procurement activities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 14 years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong experience with strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
• Experience sourcing complex and/or high-value equipment and services.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing RFQs and RFPs.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills, including experience negotiating with senior-level supplier and manufacturer representatives.
• Experience managing contracts, purchase orders, supplier issues, claims, disputes, and post-award activities.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience supporting nuclear, energy, utilities, engineering, construction, or other highly regulated environments is beneficial.

• Work Schedule: 4/10 schedule — Monday through Thursday
• Per Diem: Not available
