A Brief Overview
This positions scope of responsibilities includes SHC and LPCH. The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting Category Management and Value Based Selection (VBS). Areas of responsibility include medical supplies, non-medical supplies, and purchased services with a focus on "best value" and Total Cost of Ownership. This position works within the Non-Labor Spend (NLS) reduction and VBS frameworks to facilitate the achievements of the objectives of Category Management with the goal of attaining supplies and services that offer an optimal balance of quality, service, availability and value.
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the negotiation, standardization, consolidation and contract administration for all departments at SHC and LPCH. Responsible for negotiating and managing contracts for the purchasing of medical products, equipment and related-services which include a market review, benchmarking and selection of suppliers. Interacts with vendors and departments concerning purchasing issues. Responsible for ensuring contract compliance as it pertains to pricing and service levels.
This role will work in conjunction with the Assistant Director Category Management & VBS, Sourcing Director, and Administrative Director of Supply Chain to achieve and maintain optimal balance of quality, service, availability and value.

Education Qualifications
• Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business Information Systems, Manufacturing Systems Engineering or a similar discipline/field from an accredited college or university required.
Experience Qualifications
Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Facilitates implementation of new or modified policies and procedures based on hospital best practices and compliance with Federal, State, and regulatory agencies. Ensures policies are followed across the organization through education to hospital departments and coordination with Finance, Compliance, Office of General Counsel, and Risk Management.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $45.94 - $59.73 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
