Position Summary: The Sourcing Specialist serves as the primary liaison between the internal sales team, customer service, and suppliers to facilitate the acquisition of non-stock and custom orders. This role ensures that procurement processes align with the divisions objectives for profitability and customer satisfaction. The specialist will leverage strong communication and negotiation skills to foster relationships with key stakeholders and ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as the main interface between internal sales, customer service, and suppliers to ensure clarity in requirements and expectations for custom orders. Facilitate seamless communication to align sourcing efforts with sales and customer service strategies. Manage the end-to-end process for procuring non-stock, custom orders, from initial inquiry through to delivery. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely production and accurate delivery schedules. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules that meet the divisions needs. Evaluate supplier performance and reliability to ensure quality standards are met. Analyze costs and profitability for custom orders, ensuring that sourcing decisions are aligned with financial targets. Identify opportunities for cost reductions without compromising on quality or timelines. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall customer experience. Implement best practices in sourcing and procurement to support the division's strategic objectives. Identify and mitigate risks associated with non-stock and custom procurement, including sourcing alternatives when necessary. Carry out additional responsibilities as required to support team objectives and company goals.

Qualifications: Education/Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience. Language Ability Read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, agencies or members of the business community.

Mathematical Ability Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
