Build strong supplier relationships and serve as primary contact for issue resolution with suppliers. Lead procurement projects and certain commodity teams at the business unit or corporate level. Negotiate supplier contracts independently or as a member of a negotiating team. Manage the supplier selection process and conduct complex supplier negotiations and contracts. Lead the analysis of key trends/issues in supply and total cost of ownership for assigned products. Collaborate with peers and others to produce direct and indirect sourcing and purchasing strategies. Maintain the team's focus on the impact of sourcing decisions across the entire supply chain. Advise and consult with internal business partners on sourcing and procurement processes and procedures. Manage sourcing and procurement strategies aimed at reducing cost, minimizing risk, fostering innovation, and optimizing business processes. Set goals for and manage category strategy, commodity, and project teams. Define project scopes, mitigate risks, sourcing strategies, and identify savings opportunities.
