Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef

Hangry Kitchen is looking for a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef to join our small, hardworking, highly creative kitchen team.

We re a kitchen focused on seasonal cooking, local sourcing, and menus that are constantly evolving. Everything is made in house, and we care deeply about ingredients, execution, and doing things the right way. We re a growing company, with another concept opening soon, and we re looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

This is not the job for someone who just wants to show up, cook the same five things every day, and go home. This is for someone who wants to learn, experiment, be part of the creative process, and be part of something bigger. We want someone who cares about food, cares about standards, and wants to help build something meaningful in food and hospitality.

We also believe that doing great work and having a life outside of work should not be mutually exclusive. This role is built around four 10-hour days with three days off in a row, because quality of life matters too.

What you ll be doing


Working side by side with Chef/ownership on prep, service, and execution
Helping lead the line and keep service organized, clean, and sharp
Supporting prep lists, ordering, kitchen systems, and daily flow
Contributing to a kitchen culture built on creativity, accountability, and teamwork
Being part of a restaurant that cares deeply about ingredients, seasonality, and strong execution

Schedule

Compensation


Junior Sous Chef:
$40,000 $50,000 annually
, based on experience
Sous Chef:
starting at $50,000 annually
, with higher compensation for the right experience and leadership level
